Blog

Note: I’m now posting on Substack! I’m keeping this blog in case I decide to return in the future, but you’re more likely to find me writing and sharing on Substack. See ya there ❤

While there’s no particular theme to this blog, I’m drawn toward conversations about community, visual art, and the value of making stuff for ourselves and other people.

I’m also interested in building community offline and online and asking better questions. On occasion, I may fall into a research vortex or consider how we can become better/ kinder human beings without improving ourselves to death.

This is a playful space to work through ambiguity and pursue curiosities in real time. Writing is one way of moving and thinking through the world, so some of these posts may eventually contradict or complicate one another as I learn and encounter new things/ people/ places/ perspectives.

And, hey, I think that’s okay! Processes of making (anything — a painting, a chair, a friendship) are usually a bit messy. I aim to honor the communal nature of writing/ making and the value of reflecting on old work, which sometimes makes me cringe but nonetheless opens up the process for others to see and connect with.
